This is my second Air Cat tool, first I bought was the 1250k.

I am a HD Diesel mechanic by trade and mainly use this to grinding away gaskets, prep metal for paint, electrical and welding. Very compact and VERY quiet. Loved it so much I ordered another one for the home. Cheap enough! Why not treat myself.

This grinder is so quiet. Especially for the rpm's. Best grinder I've ever used! Rips!!! I had a cheap one before, so it's like going from a Volkswagen to a Porsche.

Very quiet, very well built, and high torque. However, trying to feather the trigger is nearly impossible and while I work with composites, it is a good affordable tool. Can get to be a pain in the hands if your doing some severe shaping after about an hour or so. Otherwise, the torque it generates will remove a lot of material very fast. I recommend using an inlet control valve with it to slow it down for those delicate jobs.

works great, decent power, comfortable grip, smooth running arbor. not quite as powerful as the Mac grinder i had before this one but that was a much bigger grinder and cost twice as much.

This is an outstanding tool. It is very quiet and I really like the handle and trigger design. I purchased it for the quiet operation and am extremely pleased with how it handles, how it feels, the quality of construction and overall design. I highly recommend this tool and will be buying more Aircat tools. The low noise level is great!

"Much quieter than other brands, and I like the way the grinder is designed to fit your hand. Works great, I am very happy with it."

"I have gone through 6 different brands of angle die grinders until I finally came across this one. The problem I had with them all was the gears would get in a bind and the head would stop spinning. This happened on the first use, not after months of use!
I must say that it is VERY quiet, and powerful. It has yet to have one single problem. I use my grinders as a machinist, and I use them every day. This grinder is VERY well made, and again I must emphasize how quiet it is at full throttle.
Please, save yourself the headaches I had went through, and spend a little more for top a quality product!"

I was really surprised how quiet this die grinder is. It has good power and speed. My coworkers joke around and say it sounds like a dentist tool. Haha. I love it. Good job AIRCAT! Definitely would recommend.

"The AirCat Right Angle Die Grinder, really is quite, If you are like me, and have spent years loosing your hearing due to loud noise, you are going to like this tool. No more high pitch whine, not damaging my hearing getting the job done. I like the control lever. it actually gives control of speed. fits well in the hand.
What I find a bit of a concern is the lack of a safety device to prevent accidental operation of the grinder. I would have liked it if the grinder was just a bit more compact.
other that that, the best money I ever spent on an air tool"

"Of the small air grinders, this one is the quietest and holds up very well to continuous use."

Steve - 12/7/2011

Very quiet compared to my other diegrinder, has good power, and is efficient in the amount of air it uses making it a better canidate for someone who has a smaller compressor than cheap grinders. I like quiet air tools and can use this without earplugs no problem. Highly recommend this and the other AIRCAT tools I own such as 1/2" & 3/8" NitroCat impacts, 1/4" & 3/8" ratchets.
